ELBURG SHIPMANAGEMENT PHILS., INC. is a corporation established under the laws of the Philippines and duly licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) to operate as a manning agent and registered with the Maritime Industry Authority as a ship agent providing allied shipping services.

The company is headed by Capt. NICOLO TERREI, having extensive sea experience, supported by experienced staff some of which has extensive sea background. From 1994, Capt. Terrei has been engaged in the selection, recruitment and training of Filipino Seafarers.

ELBURG SHIPMANAGEMENT PHILS., INC. started its full operations in April of 2005 manning 7 Chemical tanker vessels and a Bulk Carrier vessel with Filipino Crew. On the first month of operations, 8 crew were initially deployed. By the end of December 2005, the company is manning 7 Chemical Tanker vessels, 7 Supply vessels, 3 Bulk Carriers, 2 Floating Stations, and 1 General Cargo vessel with 181 crew onboard.

As of the end of December 2008, the company is manning 86 vessels of various types with 1,150 crew deployed onboard including Steel Supervisors engaged in shipyard surveillance.

Services What we offer

A. MANNING OF SHIPS - Recruitment, selection and deployment of Filipino, Italian, and other nationals for foreign principals.

B. CREW MANAGEMENT SERVICES - In addition to manning ships, our company undertakes total crew management to include training and continuous upgrading of skills and knowledge, wage and salary administration, allotment servicing, performance monitoring and evaluation, crew insurance, travel arrangements, etc. Packaging of options are subject to negotiations.

C. Ship brokering, chartering agents and owners protective agents.

D. Ship management may include technical aspects of ship operations, ship inspections, overseeing maintenance and repairs, assistance during class and flag surveys and ISPS-related verifications, victuals management, dry docking and renovations overseeing, compliance to flag and port state requirements, etc.

E. Shipping agency and husbanding of ships at local ports consisting of facilitation of entry and clearance in ports, representations with port authorities, supplying parts, provisions, bonded stores and other supplies; and many other services related to ship business in ports.

F. Local representations for shipping-related foreign domiciled concerns, classification societies and other concerns. If clients so require, we are able to deal / follow-up with P & I crew related cases throughout our skilled and experienced office staff.

Clients Who we care

Marking the company’s presence in the maritime industry, almost 200 vessels is manned by Elburg with an estimated deployment of 2, 000 officers and crew onboard European vessels. Among the total number of vessels manned by the company, 23% of which are Bulk Carrier vessels, 4% are General Cargo vessels while 16% are container, roro passenger, anchor handling vessels and yachts. 8% are LPG tankers, 8% are chemical tankers and 41% of which are chem./oil product tankers and bitumen tankers.

We have built our credibility and reputation through our close-knit working relations and dedicated cooperation with our principals, ship-owners and our ever valuable seafarers and by way of our sincere and persistent hardworks, serious commitment to quality and high regard for social responsibility.

We endeavor to provide the best qualified crew available and regard each crew engaged thru our initiatives as assets and partners in this business. Therefore, we are exerting our best efforts to ensure that only qualified candidates meeting prescribed entry standards are selected thru rigorous interviews, testing and assessment in coordination with the Italian Maritime Academy Phils., Inc., and medical examinations as extensive as practicable. Those who succeed are to be considered for long term employment thus eligible for subsidized development thru subsidized training and career building measures.

We create and provide career growth opportunities as well as prepare crew for promotions and bigger responsibilities. We institute mechanism for systematic crew rotation to instill job security and enable our seafarers to intelligently plan utilization of their financial resources, and afford them sense of security that a job will be available when their vacation is over.

Elburg Shipmanagement Phils., Inc. continues to explore measures to enhance their welfare and of their families, and for that matter, we have a family relations facility to assist their love ones in times of need and provide counseling services when needed. Crew families are as valuable to us, as our seafarers are.

Elburg Shipmanagement Phils., Inc. is a profit making enterprise, but it is more of a community of people, who, despite of diversified interest and beliefs, share the common goal of preserving job opportunities for Filipino.
